The Plan is structured into strategic guidelines that shape the various initiatives: cost reduction and improved competitiveness; company portfolio; freight strategy; growth in new businesses; and, finally, cultural change. As of the first stage of actions – cost reduction and improved competitiveness at Vanguard – we have carried out many of the most outwardly visible actions in this area. It was critical to focus tightly on competitiveness and efficiency in an increasingly demanding market environment. Nevertheless, we have gained a positive movement all along the way.

In this opportunity, I would like to share my fundamental philosophy for vessel commanding, which I always have in mind onboard as Captain on vessels, and still I have.

All our concerned shall be reminded, it is inevitable and I shall state “Safety First” is always first priority regardless any situation or environment. Secondly, I believe “Harmony” is very important. Good harmony can avoid any major marine disaster, as it makes high motivation with close communication, and most effective way to detect abnormality promptly.
Focusing on Vision and Mission, our aim is to be leading shipping company in the market. Marking positive attitude, well experience staffs combination, respecting & complying IMO rules/regulation- Vanguard Maritime becomes shipping Brand in the industry.

With the wide Sea going Experience, I would ensure safe and secure shipping. Employing qualified crew and looking after their mental wellbeing, our staff retention is sustainable in the market. Auditing vessel and office at frequent interval we have achieve best safety culture on board the vessel. Prioritize human resource; all of us must try to improve by ourselves, including juniors, seniors and shore staff, and of course myself.

Serving as Marine Chief Engineer on board vessel and recognized as CHARTERED ENGINEER by engineering council in UK, leverage the technical knowledge for Marine Efficient vessel. Safety and Environment friendly operation is the first motto of Vanguard. Fostering Zero Tolerance to pollution, we aim to reduce carbon foot print to atmosphere.

Improvement is continuous endeavor to upgrade safety. It is inevitable not only for ship’s quality, but also on board staffs and shore base staffs.
